GC for parents

I'm a US citizen. I've applied GC (I-130+I-485 together) for my mom who is on visitor visa, thru Chicago Lockbox. Her case has been sent to Calfornia Service Center. Her finger prints are done already.
Her return date (per visitor visa) to India is Sep. 22. We have applied for I-131 (Travel Parole also) along with GC. I'm not sure if her GC will be approved before her return date. Is she allowed to stay past the date on her visitor visa or will she become illegal if she stays like that. What happens if she leaves ?
Anybody in similar situation ? Anybody knows what can be done ?

She can stay until her GC is approved. But if she needs to travel for a short time, she should not leave the US without the approved Advance Parole

If you don't mind sharing some information on ur mom's application dates.

When you sent it?
When she got FP?
Also you filed using lawyer or by yourself?.
If you have filed only to mom, do we need their Birth Certificate or two affidavit is good enough?
Do we need Marriage Certificate for mom alone?
Any other info you think might be useful to others.

about GC process

Hello Persistant70,

If you don't mind can you share yr mom GC process? I was jus applied my parents GC last 25th sep.(I-130, I-485,G-325A, I-765) in chicago Lock box. How this process works, because i didn't recevived my postal receipt back yet, i was did the Express mailed and they was recevied 28th sep. 9:00pm. I am really voried about the procee, how it's works? it's all process going smoothly or complicated?

Please share your all Experiance entire process... if you don't mind....
