GC for parents.. need urgent info

Hi,

I am planning to file for my parent's GC while they are here on Visitor Visa. I have all supporting documents required to file, except their Birth Certificate so is it a must have document?? Please advice. Thanks

Don't take shortcuts. Follow the proper procedure and use consular processing. That will give you time to get the proper documents from their home country.

Your embassy or consulate could make a birth-certificate or a non-availability of birth-certificate document for your folks at some additional costs if they don't have it. Although, they might require some documents besides for just a passport for it. Ask your embassy/consulate which has jurisdiction over your area. It should be a quick process if done in person.
