Son's Visa

Me and my wife came to usa in 2006 sept, we didn’t bring our son, he is now 3 years old. My wife is nurse, and now both are green card holders. My son doesn’t have a visa. When I enquire to Indian embassy, they said he should wait till the priority date become current. I think he is under e-3 visa category now.

Please advise me what to do to get a visa to my son. is he eligible to get visiting visa?is there any other way to bring him,his visa category is unavailable now.

If thing going in this speed, it takes years and years to see my son. can I apply for my mother in law, she is the one taking care of son, so that I can tell them no body is there to take care of him. is it possible? Is there any information about retrogression
