Canadian H1B married to a US born citizen. Options?

Hello all,

My wife ( we were married late May of this year in the US). Has been working in the US on an H1B visa. From my research on this site and others, it appears we need to fill out an I-130 and I-485 concurrently. Are there other supporting documents that we should be filling out?

Also, if there is any chance of the processing taking more than 3 months and she doen not want to be tethered to her employer, should we fill out an EAD form?

Are there step by step instructions available for the 485? There are a few fields that are a bit confusing....
