  • 125% above poverty line, what about a Med School full time student...

    Hello,

I've been married to an American citizen for 3 months, we are currently working on filling for adjust of status. My question now is that my husband is a full time student at Duke University and we've been living on his college grant and some other income that I have from my country! I'm an ESL teacher but I'm currently not working, as I'm here on a visitor visa...So, we need to rely only on his salary/grant...we have the award letter for the school year of 2008/2009 which is $69.000 and he also has his last 3 years of tax returns that ranges from $28.000 to $39.000, I have a minor son and he is here and will be applying with me, Do you think my husband's grant from school will do it as a financial support??? Please, I really appreciate your time in answering my question...Thanks

You may need to show some additional proof of financial evidence such as assets than can be liquidate in short period, or the financial support from you.
