Marrying a US citizen while in India

Hi my fiance is a Indian citizen and I'm a US citizen. We are currently in India and planning to get married this december. He is currently working on a H1B visa and has applied for his GC. He has taken his finger prints already. My question is how long will it take him to get his GC through me once we are married? Can we apply for his GC while in India? If so where do we apply?

I'm not sure if adjustment of status can be filed while outside of the US. As far as the processing times, it's anyone's guess. I got married to a US citizen in March 2007 and my I-485 is still not approved. However, the I-130, I-131 and the I-765 have all been approved months ago. Look at the processing times on the USCIS.gov Web site.
