Mother Passed away

My mom who was on Green Card filed for my unmarried brother two years ago .. last month she passed away out of country ... how is it going to affect on the application .. also what do we need to do to have the petition Valid

The only thing that COULD MAYBE help is if the dad (her husband) is a GC holder and is alive.

Other than that, the petition is void/cancelled.
