date of birth format different

dob format in indian certifiactes is different than what's used in usa, does it matter how i put it in I-130 for my parents, I am using mm/dd/year format instead of dd/mm/year, plz answer, i dont want to make a mistake

Just put exactly how it is asked in the form.

If your Indian certificate says 03/05/1982, your date of birth is 3 May, 1982. While filling the form, look at what exactly is being asked and fill accordingly.
