DS-230 Marriage certificate question....

I don't know if there are any Turkish folks out there that can answer my question but here goes: We have to send our marriage certificate with the DS230 however.......we are sending a "Nufus Kayit Ornegi" which is a birth certificate. However, this birth certificate also has our marriage info on it (shows that we are married to eachother). In that case....if I sent the orignial of the Nufus Kayit Ornegi....can i just send a copy of my marriage certificate rather than the original? I am scared to send the original marriage certificate incase it gets lost.
