Traveling domestically while waiting for interview

I have filed my i - 130, i - 485, etc and I am waiting for my biometrics appointment. I live in Cali with my husband. I had to come to New York to help my Mum out as my Grandfather died and she had to go back to the UK to deal with everything and had no one to take care of her pets. Will me traveling domestically while waiting for my interview be a problem? I have been back and forth a twice times, my husband also when he has time off work, but I was not sure if they even know, or care whether I leave the state or not during this time.

I may not be able to make it back until Christmas.
