I-485 interview

I have received my I-485 interview notice. My application is based on the marriage to US citizen. The interview date is only 2 months before our 2 years marriage anniversary.

My questions are:

1. If I go to the interview and get approval, is it possible to receive permanent green card instead of a conditional one?
2. If the anwer is no to the first question, is it a good idea to reschedule the interview date after our 2 years anniversary date?

PraetorianXI, I understand you definitely don't recommend to reschedule the interview date. And I probably won't.

But I am curious to know why. Can you please share your thoughts? And I am sorry if this is a dumb question or it has been answered many times in this forum.

Because you may have to wait 4-6 months for another interview date... and IOs do not like people rescheduling frivolously either...

Bottom line is, even if you will have to remove conditions on your card, the sooner you become a permanent resident (conditional or not) the sooner you will be able to file for citizenship.
