This is a follow-up to my previous question. My friend entered under the K1 visa. They got married before the 90 days were over. However it's only now (more than a year later after the wedding) that the husband worked on her change of status (I-485 and I-765) because they had financial problems. My question is...would her current USCIS status on the form be K1 out of status? Is there a time limit from the time a K1 got married for her to file a change of status? Thanks for your help.
