Hi,
I am a 40 year Chinese who is applying for a green card(family-based) in the United States. I was asked for a birth certificate when I go to the green card interview. But there was no such thing called birth certificate in China back 40 years ago. I was suggested to get a notarized birth certificate from China. I am wondering besides the notarized birth certificate, is there anything else I need to get from China for this interview like criminal background check or other things? It will make a total sense if I get the documentation at one time in China. Thanks.
