No SSN to get joint accounts before interview

Hi all,

I received my work authorization a week ago. My green card through marriage interview with my husband is 2 weeks from now. I will not have received my SSN number before my interview date and therefore do not have a joint bank account or joint credit cards. Will this be an issue at the interview? We have other documents such as medical benefits, photos with family and friends, joint home bills, wedding and christmas cards, receipts for trips we have taken together, etc. Is lack of an SSN good reason for not having bank stuff?? I have heard so many horror stories that I feel like I am over-thinking EVERYTHING!!

Have the bank add you as a foreign national, put 888-88-8888 as your SSN and fill out a W-4. All you need is a valid passport and visa.

You will update them with your SSN once you get one.

My visa expired, but I have my work authorization card. Will this be suitable?

visa, passport, and EAD, will suffice.

they are trying to prove your identity, not that you are legally present.
