GC for parents

Me and my spouse are US citizens. My parents are now in US on visitor's visa. The i-94 will expire on june 14 09. I want to apply GC for my parents. Can they go back to India and again come to US before the GC is approved.

They have to travel on Advance parole only. They cannot user visitor visa as they have immigrant intent once they have a GC pending.
