Travelling to US on B1 after applying GC through US Citizen spouse

My cousin is a doctor (Foreign medical graduate) and trying for residency match this year to come to US. He is on B1 (10 years) and already came twice to US. He married a US citizen in India recently. His wife applied for GC and K3 visa 15 days ago. His residency match date is on March 16th. He wants to come over here for residency match on B1.

Will coming on B1 after applying GC create problems to his GC or K3 Visa processing?

Did any body went through the similar situation? Please guide us.

Entering US on B1 with a USC spouse is kind of illegal. He should enter on the K3 visa only as B1 requires non-immigrant intent. If it is uncovered at POE about the spouse or a pending K3, the person could be refused entry.
