I am a US Citizen petitioning to grant my wife permanent residence. I wanted to confirm a few things which I'll separate below.
i-130
b.14. Date authorized stay expired or will expire, as shown on form i-94 or i-9 5.
-my wife's i-94 stub does not have an expiry date. She is on an f-1 visa, currently on OPT. Do we just use the expiry date of her f-1 visa as shown on her i-20?
c.17. List husband/wife and all children of your relative
-I am reasonably sure I list myself and no one else, since we have no children, correct?
And in the section where it asks at which filing center we will file in the US, am I meant to put the closest one to me in San Antonio? or list Chicago, Illinois, since our paperwork will be sent there?
On the g-325a
When it says: This form is submitted in connection with an application for: Naturilization, status as permanent resident, or Other, since I'm technically asking for her, should I put other, and explain that? or just say that it's for status as permanent resident. Also, when it is asking who the applicant is and for their signature, Are they asking me as the petitioner? or am I to list her since she is applying for status, and I am technically petitioning to sponsor her.
Help please
Am I just overthinking these things?
