  • Late RFE....Can anyone HELP ME????

    Hello,

I have changed my address on November, 2008. I checked my status online and I found that USCIS sent me a Letter of Notification on Feb 14, 2009 for my I-485. I didn't received on time, so I called to USCIS office and they said they will send me the Letter again. I have received my Letter of Notification I797E very late on March 16, 2009 and I went to Police Plaza for GCC, takes 10 business days(March 31, 2009). But my time line is on March 28, 2009. So I called USCIS so many time to explain my situation but they said they can't do anything and my time line can't change. Luckily, I received my GCC on March 27, 2009 and sent it by FedEx overnight to this address:

    California Service Center
    24000 Avila Road, 2nd Floor, Room 2312
    Laguna Niguel, CA 92677

Actually, on the RFE envelope show this address

    Department of Homeland Security
    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
    California Service Center
    P.O.Box 10590
    Laguna Niguel CA 92607-0590
    Attn: RFE

Because of the post office on Laguna Niguel is closed on Saturday, i choose to send via FedEx. But FedEx went to the office twice and the office is closed on Saturday(March 28, 2009). So they will send it again on March 30, 2009.

WHAT CAN I DO NOW? IS THERE ANYONE CAN HELP ME? IS THERE ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN TO MY Green Card Process?

Today is April 3rd. I've seen cases denied for being one day late on RFEs. For time constraints like you, usually for attorneys, they will work with a local attorney to have the documents hand delivered by courier.
