H4/EAD and H1 dual

I have a strange case. I am currently working at a company on my EAD. My dad has a H1 and I got the EAD because I had an h4 under him. My current company is ready to file for a h1 for me. My questions are
1. Is it okay for me to have both statuses?
2. Would I still get my GC when my dad gets his GC?

If my h1 is issued, what status would I be on? H1 or EAD?

1. Yes. You can be a parolee as well as a H1b.
2. Depends on a lot of factors
