  • HELP..Filling green card for mother. HELP

I am filling for my mother GC as she is here visiting me. My questions are.

1.How long should I wait before I file? I heard 30 days and also 60 days.

2.I am planning to file I-130, I-131, 1-485, I-693, I-864, I765 and G325 all at same time? Should I file advance parole or and EAD at a later date maybe?

3.Mom BC is in Hindi. Can I translate it and have I or my friend sign it? Does it need to be notarized?

4.Medical for I 485 should it be scheduled closer to file date?

I would apprecaite anything you could share.

    Thanks.

You should not file for her GC while on a visitor visa. You should go through consular processing, if that was the intention to begin with, it does not matter if you wait 60, 90 or 10000 days... it is still fraud.

Wow that was harsh..immigration was not the original intent...USCIS website states you can. Where are you getting you facts from? Please send me a link to your source. Are you lawyer? You have thousands of posts on this website.

You ask (should I wait 30 or 60 days?)

Which means, she entered less than 30 days ago... so, am I supposed to believe that she just decided to immigrate, less than 30 days ago and she did not misrepresent herself at the Port of Entry when she said she was coming just for a short visit?

Pardom me if I am blunt, but abuse like this prevents others from bringing their parents for a visit.

Go through consular processing and avoid the risks.

Person may not have any intention to immigrate while visiting on visitors visa. However, it is perfectly legal that once they come here, and find everything so nice, they want to live here by immigrating here.

I don't see anything wrong with it.

            thanks immihelp!

I got answers to most of my questions on the USCIS website. Its completely legal to file for adjustment once you are in the country even on a visiters visa.
The website states that one must be legaly in the country....

I think PraetorianXI has some hidden agenda for scaring potential immigrants who want live and work in this country legally. I was very disappointed as i thought PraetorianXI comments where based on some real facts (USCIS rules and regulation).
