My I-130 has been pending for more than 3 years now. My husband is a permanent resident. We took an appointment on infopass for tomorrow (April 20, 2009). We want to talk to an officer about my situation because we haven't received any things since the receipt letter in Feb. 2006. No approuval letter, nothing. But now, I am scared to go to this appointment because I am on a visitor visa and my I-130 is expired since Feb. 2008. My USCIS office is in Indianapolis (Indiana). Is it safe for me to go there? Or should I let my husband go there alone? Thanks for your advices.

All I can say is if you are "out of status" now, do not go. You will not be able to file for I-485 (Greencard) anyways. You can only file for I-485 to an PR if your status is legal. The only way you will be able file for I-485 is if your husband gets his citizenship if you're out of status..
Also, the reason you have not heard anything is because your priority date is not current. They are processing 2004.
