  • Is it better if I go with my sister or mother for a green card sponsership

    Hi,

I am currently working in USA on H1b. My sister got her US citizenship and my mother got her green card 2 years ago. I am 29years old and married.
Is it better if my sister apply for my green card or will it be faster if my mother apply for me after getting her citizenship. Will it be any faster if I apply for green card when I am in US or is the same if I apply from India.

    Please suggest.......

    Regards,
    Sam

Mostly likely it will be faster for your mother to petitioner for your residency than your sister. You should go to the Dept. of State's website and look at the visa bulletin to determine which category (brother of a citizen or child of a citizen) is more "current". Also, someone should file the I-130 now to get the ball rolling on your residency and "set your place in line" (that is establish a priority date for you).
