  • i130 possible daft question

    hi, i am new to the forum and just at the start of the long road to living in the US. My wife is american and we have a house in florida, also have twins due next month.
    My question is what do i write in the section 21 on the i130 that asks ;
    'If filing for your husband/wife, give last address at which you lived together'.
    We have never lived together officially as i have not got a green card and i am still in the royal navy and we only got married last month, i finish my contract in four months then am able to move to the states asap.

    What should i put in the box? If i say i have never lived with my wife they might think that sounds crazy. I am on the documents for our new house together but we only met last year on a work trip and now we have kids on the way etc

    thanks for any help, i will be sure to return the favour during my experiences.

    You are in navy and out most of the times. But you still have some place which you call home on the ground. Therefore, put the address of the house you have together.

        My wife has just sent the documents off with the i130 and has forgotten to post the check/fee as per my instructions. Please tell me there is a way to send this without any problems?. thanks

          anyone? This is urgent and i am quite worried that i cannot resend the whole lot again due to some legal reason. ie. not being able to have two visa's processing at the same time even though one is 'garbage'.

            If the petition was submitted without proper payment then it will simply be rejected by the CIS. You can wait to receive it back and then resend with proper payment.
