I was given reference of your website by my son who is US citizen for FAQ's for green card. While the website is very very helpful and covers most of topics, there was one clarification that I wanted to seek that I could not find.
I have been a resident of Dubai for 40 years and presently retired and my children, US citizens, have got pre-approval for green card for me and my wife. One of the document that I need to submit is original birth certificate. My wife was born in Kanpur in 1955 but her parents, now resident of Bahrain, do not even remember which hospital she was born. They do not have her birth certificate and we do not have any relatives in Kanpur. I was trying to get informatioin from your website or people's exerience as to how to tackle this matter. Which is the authority in Kanpur that we need to approach and whether there is an email address available. Are there any agents who would be able to carry this job on my behalf. If you can help, this will be relieve a lot of mental stress.
