Another Update
Hi everyone:
No, I have not received my interview date yet.
Just want to express my disappointment with the outcome of this whole situation. I can’t believe that after waiting for 10 years, priority date will be current in December and I am still in document processing. 10 years is a long time and my petitioner retired during this time therefore I had to get a joint sponsor. The person I originally planned to use did not come through and I wasted almost 2 months trying to get someone (or 2) who could afford to sponsor a family of 5.
Anyway, we finally submitted Affidavit of Support October 31. I received an email from NVC one week later requesting Affidavit of Support. I had to email them and advise that it was delivered to their office on October 31. I received an email yesterday saying that I should allow 30 days for them to review the documents.
BTW I submitted ds260 and civil documents for my CSPA daughter yesterday (this is the only good thing about this. My daughter will get to interview with us).
I have come to realise that we are not in charge of this process even though our lives are affected by the outcome of this process. My children are still in university and I am glad that I did not put our lives on hold pending the outcome of this process.
I just want to advise other persons waiting in line to go on living your lives wherever you are and keep a positive mind until your process is complete. It does not make any sense to try to rush the process. I was originally planning to relocate to US by January 2014 but with how things look now I don’t know if I will have an interview by January 2014.
Will continue to keep you guys posted and wishing best of luck to Kamran who will have his interview later this week.
Best regards
Pike, how is your police certificate going? Give us an update.

PC Update

Read post #2102 Where I updated the forum that I received invoice to pay for CSPA daughter.
The Police Clearance from my home country was ready for pick-up on Nov 18th. A friend picked it up for me yesterday and sent me a scanned copy, which I e-mailed to NVC just yesterday afternoon. I received an auto response from them saying they look at documents in the order they were received etc. It takes 20 days for them to review and process. So today will only be day one of the twenty days. A friend of my friend will be coming to Canada this weekend and that person will bring up the PC. Which I am hoping I can ask them to mail it to me. I am a far distance from where the PC will be arriving. So I am still all stressed and tense cause I still don't have the actual PC in my hand as yet.
I'm sorry to hear about all the stress you are having. Yes 10 years is a long time. Our parents are aging and need to retire. I am lucky that my mom is still working, so the AOS was done by her alone for a family of 3. I think all of us in this 2003 batch got a raw deal whereby NVC started the process of our case in too much of a short time, at the pace the VB is moving. Back the days people would start receiving NVC docs. 1yr or 6 before their priority became current on the VB. I am still panicking about PC.
Feb 2003 as you said one good thing is that your daughter will be having her interview together with you. If they had CSPA 16 years ago then I would not have been in this position (F3 category) I would have gone since then. So hang in there, we have many hiccups and hurdles to cross but together we can do this. We are here to give support to each other.
