I am new to the forum. My pd is 22nd sept, 2004. Can anybody have idea when my case will open or by when visa will be availible

Well, that actually depends on when you have your medical examination. Normally, your visa is supposed to be valid for a maximum of 6 months, however, so is your medical examination. So, because you do your medical examination first before your interview, your visa will only be valid for as long as your medical examination is.

For instance in our case, we had examinations on October 30, 2014 and our interview almost two weeks later on November 12, 2014. Normally our visa should have been valid for 6 months (i.e until May 13, 2015) from the date of issue which was November 13, 2015, but our visas are actually valid until April 30, 2015, which is 6 months after our medicals.

So i guess the short answer to your question is that you have 6 months from the date of your medicals, to remain in the Phillipines.

Raina, You will have to review my post explaining everything about this process some weeks ago. It will definitely help you to estimate.

Also do you guys have any idea on how the embassy handles children that have aged out i read some articles that says eventough the child has aged out he can still be approved by the embassy
