My wife has recently become a US citizen. i already have a I-130 pending (submitted in March 2006) which was submitted when she was a permanent resident. What my understanding is that i can now file I-485 along with a copy of my I-130 receipt and I can also apply for EAD and Advance Parole. However guy who took my wife's naturalization interview suggested to her that it is better we submit a duplicate I-130 along with the I-485 so that it gets approved faster. Does anybody know if this can cause trouble later for us. What will happen to the pending I-130 if this duplicate gets approved quickly. I'm currently on an H1B.
