Hi all,
My wife and I got married 4 years ago, and filed for my greencard 3 years ago (I am from Ireland), we jointly filed for the adjustment of status in January, but since then we have separated and I am filing for divorce. I have not yet received my permanent resident card yet, and the last time I spoke to someone USCIS they told me it would over a year until I hear back from them.
My question is this, I know my status will change, but will immigration deport me? We have an 18 month old baby girl, and we have filed our taxes jointly since we got married, had a mortgage, joint loans etc. My fear is never seeing my baby girl again, so I don't want to get deported and I want to remain part of her life as her father.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
