Hello - As I know everyone else understands through your own experiences, my wife and I have been going through the ringer trying to secure her permanent residency. After three years of dotting the 'i's and crossing the 't's, I made a huge mistake when she needed to reschedule her biometrics appointment at the local center. Instead of mailing her request to the center's address as was (as I realize now) clearly instructed on the notice, I mistakenly mailed the original notice and her letter to the service center in Vermont.
Feeling that too much time had passed (2 weeks), I rechecked my copy this evening and noticed the mistake. The 'considered abandoned' notation at the top is not exactly bringing any peace of mind at the moment. I saw in one reply concerning a couple who received their notice late due a USPS error that they might have simply been able to go to the center as a walk-in, but I'm not sure my mistake (and lack of an original notice) can be solved in the same manner.
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! m(_ _)m
