USCIS assigned a new A# ???

I recently filed for family (spouse) based GC. I came to US on F-1 visa and had A# from my OPT EAD application. I had used this A# for all forms (I-485, I-130 etc.) Now, A# mentioned on all my I-797C forms is different than on old OPT card. My understanding, from Immihelp and other forums, is that you only get A# once. Is that true?
