  • I-130 USC expecting newborn

I am an USC and will be filing I-130 petition for my wife in Hong Kong. We are expecting our new born next month.
I am residing in the US.

My question is will the I-130 include our newborn automatically or I will have to file/add our child the I-130?

I am looking for the simpliest way with least amount of
complication, should I file I-130 for my wife now BEFORE baby born or I wait till baby born?

Someone told me that I can claim our child to be USC after he is born, with that then it wont be an issue.
However, if I would want him as GC for now, the above
case would be a valid question. Please help.

    Thanks very much.

You can't include your child in your wife's application because she is wife of US citizen and that is considered immediate relative. And you must apply separately for each immediate relative.

Yes, if at least one parent is US citizen, they can report to the nearest consulate about the birth of their child and the child can be US citizen.
