Hi! I'm in the Philippines. I just got married recently to my Filipino husband who is a US citizen originally based in Guam . He went back to the Philippines in 2006 to study, got his (Alien Registration card) Permanent Resident Visa here in the Philippines in 2008 and he is now on his graduating year, graduating by March 2009.
1. He is going to file form I 130 at the CIS in Manila. To prove his residency here, is it enough to present the Alien Registration Card issued by the Philippines and school documents or he needs to present more documents such as utility bills? He doesn’t have utility bills with letterheads by the power and water provider because the connections are under the name of the owner of the apartment he’s renting. Meaning, he pays his bills to the apartment owner and not directly to the power and water companies and the owner issues just provisional receipts.
2. With regards to documentations evidencing the bonafide of our marriage, would a joint bank account and joint tenancy agreement suffice or do I need to submit the affidavit sworn by third parties? Can an immediate relative say our parents be that third party who may sign the affidavit?
