We have filed our mothers GC who came to visit us in June. Her return is for
november but we have not yet heard anything.My question is can she stay here till she recieves her GC? Please let me know ASAP I really need ti know.
Did anyone recieve the GC for parents while they were visiting?

Sam,

1.As long as you indicated your parent will be adjusting his/her status and you are a US citizen therefore a visa is immidiately available, they shouldnt be out of status and will wait here to receive GC.

Regarding your question on my other post... as u can see, I am in the process of sending in her AOS package so, no, I have not received the GC as yet, since I have not yet filed for it.

Keep checking my updates as we seem have similar cases. My parent 6-mos ends in Nov as well.

name issue

Thankyou for replying ,my new update is a name query we recieved. My moms first name in passport and in other documents are diff in spelling, I dont know how to change. Do we have to change the passport for a spelling issue? need some advice...

yes, when the green card is issued, no matter what you wrote on the application forms, it will be issued as per passport details. so its better to get it fixed ASAP.
