How long to enter USA after greencard?

Hi all,

If my father was to sponser my greencard (he is US citizen, I am over 21) and I am granted it after some years of waiting, but say I am in the middle of school or something, how long do I have to enter the USA for the first time?

6 months to move to the USA and live there permanently.
