Adding Infant to wife's I-130

We had a baby born in August and my wife's I-130 application has now reached NVC.

please let me know if sending a letter and copy of Birth Certificate should be sufficient?

If the application is approved, you need to file a form " Action on an Approved Application" I think its called. Check the USCIS page "forms" tab, and read the instructions in the document to ensure you are doing what is required.
