  • Hi, I am filing for removal of conditions I 751

I am not using a lawyer to do this. Let me know based on what I write if I should. I live in Dallas area. After getting the green card in Nov 2007 we moved here from Long Island in Jan 2008 to study.

First off the form instructions in form say "submit copies of as many documents as you wish to establish this fact (that the marriage is entered in good faith) and to demonstrate the circumstances of the relationship from the date of the marriage to the present date". Does this mean that I should send documents since the marriage till now?

Below is what I have as proof for filing, is it enough? Should I get a lawyer if it's not enough?

    1. Letter from landlord whom we've been sharing house since May 2008.

    2. Bank letter stating we have maintained a joint account since 2008 and also have maintained credit cards with them.

    3. Photos

    4. Apartment that we rented from Jan. to May 2008 - utility bills.

    5. Spring 2008 and Fall 2008 sign up of both of us in same college and our college schedule. We picked the schedule same because we have only one car.

    6. Joint Tax return of 2008 the account summary fax from IRS that shows we filed jointly and our socials and our account summary.

    7. Joint car insurance, joint ownership of car.

    8. All the pay check stubbs from nov. 2007 till date, both mine and hers

    9. Bank statements, phone bills and stuff that came on both our names at the addresses where we lived - in chronological order.

    10. The landlord lady is the only one who has known us to be couple from may 2008 till date which isn't two full years. Should I get a sworn affidavit from her?

I have all of the documents well organized from when we went for our interview earlier to get the green card that i have. Should I add those to what I mentioned above or should I just send everything AFTER Nov 2007 when I got my conditional green card?

Thanks a million to anyone who responds, I'll pray for you.

Looks like you have all supporting documents. Affidavit from your landlord is not needed and irrelevant because really it doesn't make it legal or in other words it is no match to the documents you listed like bank statements and house lease. Besides to be honest she is a complete stranger right? Your family knows you were together much better and the most important you have all the other documents in order.
Note that this is not a legal advice. Consult your immigration attorney for the best upto-date information.

I have one real important question. Do I need to send them documents ever since we met first or just the documents after I got the conditional green card? I am not sure what to do there. I also can't find documents that came every month on our address on my name but I have car insurance, car ownership, house rental bank accounts and have paid joint tax returns. I have bank statements that came on both our names. Should I add college admission documents because my wife and I both went to one college for one whole year and us both picked same schedule so we don't have to go back and forth with one car. Thanks again and any help greatly appreciated.

I also don't have any family members living here and her family members don't talk to her because of the dumb cast system so we're pretty much on our own. Should I add affidavits? I have a friend of mine who lives in Utah (I live in Texas). Him and I met in new york while I was working there. he knows my wife and I both pretty well but hasn't seen us in person in about two years. Should I ask him to send me affidavit as a friend who knows us two as a couple?
