I-130 process for Immediate Relative

Can one of you please shed some light on I-130 process when filed Standalone (i.e. NO 485 Adj of status) just I130 going to Chicago lockbox.

I see that the check that I had sent with my mother's I-130 is already cashed within one week of their receiving the courier.

what does it mean? where do I stand?
i.e. Does this mean I-130 is approved?
OR do they encash the check with I-130 right away without even processing the application?

They have not sent me any receipt for I-130 whatsoever.

your check is cashed and non refundable even if your app is not approved. You can look at the back of your check (if your bank have online images) you will see a receipt number like " wac1234567" ( the last digit is always 1 up) . go to the USCIS check status website, put in receipt # number on the check and you will see the status of your case. just be sure to increase the last number by 1. For instance if the number on your check ends in 2 the real receipt number will end in 3.

I too sent a stand alone I 130. Got it approved in 25 days . then i sent in the 485. check the forum for my timeline.
