GC for parents

I want to file GC for my parents:

* At present, they are in the US on B-1 and I-94 is valid till Dec 31. --> If I file I-130 and I-485 together, can they stay beyond Dec 31st till they get GC?

* What documents are required from my parents side to file for GC? (marriage certificate, birth certificate etc.?)

they have to mainitain GC status and medical is very expensive as they are not qualigied to get Medicare or Medicaid.
