Travel while I485 in processing

Sir,

I have filed I-485 for my Mom while she is in the US on B1 visitor visa.
If she has to go to India (for an emergency in India just for couple of weeks) while processing is going on, what will be the impact on her green card processing? Does she have to go to US consulate in India to to complete her GC processing or can she come back to US on B1 visa or any GC pending status?

Your advice is appreciated. Please....

I'm not sure if u have a pending I-131 if u do you need to wait for the approval or infopass at the local office and u need a lot of document to prove that u have an emergency....by the way if she's in the US with a pending I-485 and a b1 visa she can not go out of the country without the I-131.
