Hello all,
My husband is finally in the USA. He's been here nearly a week. We were so exicted to have the first part of this process over with that we never really looked into what happens next. He had his I130 approved and was issued a visa. Is that visa the conditional GC? They told him at the interview that he would receive this GC in the mail, but approximately how long does it take?
Also, how do we get him a SS card? He has one from many many years ago when he was a student, but it says the thing about not being authorized to work. Will the number be the same? How do we get the normal one?
And one last question: what process do we need to go through so he is able to work? We're not so worried about that as he's a doctor and needs to study like crazy for the med licencsing exams.
