Hi, i am a US citizen and i am planning to apply for my mother and my younger sister( she is currently 14 years old).But many people are saying not to apply for my sister as it would take atleast 10 years for her to come to United States where as it will take 1-1.5 years for my mother.They are also advising me only to apply for my mother and when she comes in,she would apply for my sister and it will take around 3 years for her to come to US. Please suggest me what exactly i should do as i have very few ideas about this immigration process.Thank you.

Either way, it will take a very long time for your sister to come to the US.

They are currently processing Sep 8, 1999 for F4 category (brother sponsoring sister.) That is 10+ years.

If you sponsor your mother, lets says she comes in 1 year. Then she sponsors your sister, that is F2A category. Now processing Nov 1, 2005. That is another 4 years. That means, she would be able to come to the US in 5-6 years on this route.
