  • Do I submit documents to VHS?

    Hello guys,
So, I am a USC and I applied for their immigration (YAY). During the application process for them, I send all the documents they requested
    My Docs:
    My birth cert
My tax papers with W2 (For past 3 years)
    My Passport Copy
    My SS card Copy
    I-864

    Mom & Dad Docs.
    Marriage Cert (Copy + Origional)
Each birth Cert (Copy + Origional)
    Passport Copy
    Police certificate (Copy + Origional)
    DS 230 Part I and II(without sign)

And other few documents that I do not remeber right now. My parents have got their visa interview on 4th December. They got "PACKET 4" which says that they have to give some documents to the VHS! Do they have to resubmit all these documents (Copies?) to them? Do they fill DS 230 part I again and submit to VHS? I cannot comprehend (or maybe I m just too dumb) this packet whatsoever. Can some one pls help?

Massive thank you in advance =) Lemme know soon...

its probably VFS. VFS is a courier service in India. If your parents have interview in India, you have to pay vfs courier service fees 10 to 15 days before interview. check vfs site. They have all the details.
In case you forgot to send any documents to NVC earlier, you can submit them to VFS. Thats what is probably mentioned in your packet 4. call NVC if you are still confused.
I dont think you should resubmit DS 230.
check this thread out, you might probably find your answers

OH btw, my dad is a brit (British Citizen) and mom is an indian citizen, but they (bombay consulate i think) are askin for a passport police certificate for my Dad. Being a brit, indian passport office denied issuing a passport certificate for him, they gave one to my mom. Should he just go to the interview and explain this? nothing else he can do i guess...right?

P.S (Dads been in india for about 30+ years now, not visited UK since and holds british passport)

            Hi,
            check this link out, /police-certificates-for-usa-immigrant-visa/

according to it, eventhough your father is a British Citizen, he lived in a different country for more than 12 months. Therefore he needs to get the police clearance certificate from local authorities.
your Father has to go to local police station in India and request for this service.

Interview USC filing for Parent's GC

So yes, they did ask to submit the documents again!
Mom n dad's visa interview was allright..they got the passport stamps.

This was for my biological dad and step mom.

                The officer asked various questions:

To dad: When was your daughter born
To dad:how was she born in usa
To dad:how old was your daughter when you got married again
To dad:when did she move to usa
To dad:Show me the pictures of your family
To my step mom:why do you want to move with her when you have younger kids in here (India)
To my step mom: Do you have a good relationship with your daughter?
To dad: Where is your X-Wife?
To dad: Why did you divorse?
To dad: Does she have relationship with her step sibling?
To my step mom: What do you intend to do in USA.

Basically the officer did not like the step parent scenario and was diggin into it! Once every thing was cleared he approved the visa!
