Can someone give some tip bits about the type of questions that are asked for immigrant visas? My mom is 65 years old and would be attending her interview soon.My mom has been denied a visa before about 3 years ago when I invited her to come for my graduation. Would that have any bearing on her immigrant visa interview? Please, anything will help.

dont worry
Previously for what they had denied her visa, if it is for any documents, then ask her to carry all her supported documents and make her to understand what document is for what, so that she will be more confident to face the interview. nothing special tips will be needed.

P4 - Visa Interview in Chennai
My mother received Immigrant Visa interview letter in Chennai for Feb 11th 2010. In the past I have applied for Visitor Visa and she was refused 4 times as potential immigrant. Can you please help me with following questions.
1. Do you think they will look into past refusals (Visitor Visa)
2. VFS - Asking for all the Original documents that I have already sent to NVC. Can you please provide me list of docs that we have to take it to VFS
3. I am in US and mother is in India. I am planning to goto Chennai to attend the interview. Does the consulate allow any one besides applicant into the room?
4. Any one remembers the questions they have asked?
Please help me.
Thanks

Immigrant Visa Interview - Parents - Hints
Hi Guys,
Here are the few tips you should follow for IV
1. If you are applying for your parents, and if you are a US Citizen, you can walk into US consulate with your parents and accompany until Oat time.
2. You can not just walk into the consulate with your parents. Please send an e-mail to consulate asking if you can come in side the consulate with your parents. Explain that your parents need your help in the interview process. Then they will reply to your e-mail that you can accompany your parents provided you bring your Us Passport with you. Print this e-mail show at the entry along with your passport. then only they will allow you to enter into the consulate.
3. Try to answer most of the questions Yes or No. Do not try to explain unless they asked you to explain.
4. Always smile while talking to the clerk in the counter.
5. Another important point is to carry your employment verification letter and atleast two W2 forms (current and last year) along with your IRS transcripts. They are asking W2 even if you have IRS documents. They are cross checking the W2 amount with IRS document amounts.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, Chinna
