Mother name missing on birth certificate

Hello
Can someone please help me what to do when petitioner name is missing on the birth certicate and on the day of interview this was the objection from the officer that where is the name on the mother on the birth certificate. He said he will email me in when to provide the evidence to prove relation to the mother and son. It could take up to 6 months or year to send the letter to me to request for the additional evidence. Did this happened to anyone else please let me know i ll really appreciate it.
