Family Based Greencard

Dear Sir,

Mother of my friend has applied for her Family Based Green card under the category of - unmarried child over 21. ( I-130 - 2 B )

Her mother is a permanent resident and not a citizen.

Her Visa has been approved but she has not got the actaul Visa in her hand yet. The post decision activity is going on.

1. IS IT OK IF MY FRIEND MARRIES NOW ?

2. Is it possible for my friend to conduct a certain rituals and not get the marriage registered - then she will not be legally married ?
