All,
Can few members help me out with my questions?,
I got my citizenship recently. Now, Im planning to sponsor GC for my Mom & Dad who are in India currently. My questions are:-
1) Which method is easy & faster to obtain their GC?.....Getting them here on visitor visa & applying for I-130 along with Adjustment?...or they will be in India itself, apply for their I-130, then go through Consular process?
2) Important question:- What kind of health insurance can I get them once they come to US on GC?, How much will be the approaximate premium in California for my dad who is 66yrs old & mom who is 58 yrs old?
3) I have heard that health insurance premium might cost around $1400 (together mom + dad) / month?, is it true?, if so, how come so many people on this forum are so aggressive in sponsoring GC to their parents? (I can see so many threads asking for help with their parents GC)....Do you guys have any alternative way around for parents health insurance?, Please let me know.
I would appreciate any kind of answers to my questions. Especially health insurance related...please post as many answers & opinions as possible
Thanks in advance
Nags
