Hello and thanks in advance for any help in response to my question!

my wife is a US citizen, we married in england and have been married for 4 years. we are moving to america, my wife is already there and has sent in the L 130 petition for alien relative.

we had planned orginally for me to do this via the consulate in uk. so far we have gotten a confirmation of reciept of the payment, we filed in october 2009. does anyone know if i can travel to the us and then let the authorities know i am in the usa and carry on the process there? can i `upgrade status`before getting an offical approval of her petition? anyone done anything similar?

i think my last post may be a little unclear! what i am planning to do,even if i have not heard anything more is to return to usa in march on visa waiver from uk,remain the usa and try to upgrade/get my green card while there. is this possible?
