I-130 submitted

Hello,
My wife (US citizen ) filed I-130 for me about 2 weeks ago. We are pretty sure it made it to Chicago. The check we sent has not been cashed yet and the application has not been mailed back to us. I wonder if this is a usual thing? I would think that they would mail the application back had it been sent to a the wrong address?

So my petition was accepted by USCIS on January 29th. I read somewhere that it takes up to 5 months for them to reach the final decision. Is that correct?
How long does it usually take the NVC to process the paperwork. My visa should be available immediately since I am married to a US citizen.

Counting days like this is not going to help. The entire process may take around 1 year.

So, it has now been 2 months since I-130 was filed for me. From experience, how long do you think it would take USCIS to make a decision about my I-130 case? Is there a way to contact them? They didn't request more evidence and both my wife and I have no criminal records.

Hello, just wanted to let you guys know that my I-130 was approved yesterday, so it took USCIS less than 2 months. That is amazing! The notice of approval has been sent to NVC.
