Hello,
I have a question regarding filing I-130 form. I am a lawful permanent resident. This year, I got married in the country where my wife is from. She is from Kazakhstan. Now, I am in the US, and she is in Kazakhstan. Should I file I-130 form now, or wait until I actually get US citizenship? I am going to apply for citizenship next year. I heard that time processing for green-card holders is longer than for US citizens. On the other hand, someone told me that even if I file I-130 now and my application is not going to be processed by the time I receive citizenship, my application will be transferred to a different category for citizens automatically after I gain citizenship.
Also, my wife wants to visit me in the US by b2 non-immigrant visa. Can she do it just to visit me? What's the chance she will be approved or rejected? Should she apply for visa before I file I-130 form, or it doesn't really matter???
I will appreciate any helpful suggestions. Thanks in advance.
