Help with Spouse green card

okay i got married a year ago , and my wife got a student visa and came back with me and she still got a month or so before her visa ends , now i need to know a few things before i go apply for a petition form
1. I'm currently unemployed ;how much money should i have in my bank account ? and is it possible to apply now if i don't find a job soon ?
2. what kind of forms should i fill ?
3. how long does it take to get her a work permit ? and how long does it take to get a permanent status ?
please i don't need your judgment or sarcasm , just your help
